Mobile Beacons’ Wi-Fly Lending Launch Kit

[Applications due September 30, 2016]

There is still time for schools and libraries to apply for Mobile Beacons’ Wi-Fly Lending Launch Kit grant. They will accept applications through September 30, 2016, and winners will be announced in October. Last year, this grant program was offered to libraries and the KC Public Library became the first 2015 Wi-Fly pilot site. This year, they have opened the program up to all CAIs that want to jumpstart a digital inclusion effort in their community. The Wi-Fly Lending Launch Kit provides local community organizations the initial tools they need to create their own digital inclusion programs and serve the evolving digital needs of their communities. The estimated value of the donation for the Wi-Fly Lending Launch Kit is $20,000.

Each kit contains:

·       25 donated 4G hotspots

·       Free, unlimited LTE data plans for each hotspot during the pilot program

·       25 donated Lenovo Thinkpad E540 laptops
